Management Insights are specialists in business growth and over the years we have developed a proprietary process for making the most of any growing business. We call it the Insights Process.

The Insights Process shapes the way we have developed our services for business owners as we believe strongly in getting the strategic and marketing foundations fully in place before moving too far forward. For that reason we always start with a new customer with a Structured Business Review. This normally develops into a Growth Action Plan and often we are asked to then provide Ongoing Support. Each of these services for business owners/entrepreneurs is described more fully below:

Structured Business Review

Under cover of a Non Disclosure Agreement we will carry out a thorough analysis of the current performance of your business and compare its strategy, focus and operational performance with what we consider to be best in class. This is often very revealing and thought provoking as it will show you your business in a new light and propose a very clear way to take the business forward, in stages that we feel you are likely to be able to achieve, with an acceptable level of risk.

Of course, it also gives us the chance to get to know each other and for us to show you just what we could help you achieve. Although we base what we do and say on facts, this is a surprisingly creative process and it takes about 5 weeks to complete. We charge from £2.5k+VAT for this, depending upon the size and complexity of your business.

Growth Action Plan

Once you have a clear direction, you need an actionable plan. A Growth Action Plan is comprehensive but functional. It sets out exactly what will be done by whom and when and at what cost. It is also structured so that you don't commit too much investment before you begin to see some results. We use a simple but full plan as a way to both build confidence and also to help align activities and manage risk in your growing business. It might seem easy but most people find it a hard thing to do consistently and yet it can have a big effect on outcomes. A Growth Action Plan often takes between 6 and 12 weeks to complete but produces actionable output during the process, so things can begin to happen as it is being finalised. We charge from £6k+VAT for this.

Ongoing Support

So, you have a clear direction and plan that you both understand and have confidence in, so why do you still need our help? Well, we have found that to get the most out of both the Structured Business Review and the Growth Action Plan people often need ongoing help and involvement to make sure that it is implemented well. As part of our business services we often fill in some of the gaps in experience or expertise in the management team and/or act as a sounding board or coach for the person in charge. Sometimes this can develop into a non-executive director or Chairman role. We charge from £2k+VAT per month depending on the level of our involvement.
